What we Treat
Osteopaths and Physiotherapists are capable of treating a multitude of conditions affecting all areas of the body from headaches to pain in the feet. The staff that work at our clinic ensure the assessment and treatment techniques they use are based on the best current evidence available for their use. This evidence based approach combined with many years of experience gives patients the most appropriate care. The clinic has a very healthy relationship with local GP’s and other healthcare professionals in Thornbury and the surrounding area. This facilitates quick and efficient access to investigations, for example x-rays, when indicated.

Shoulders
Shoulder Pain
In order to allow you to use your arm for everyday activities of living and sports, your shoulder joint is designed to be very flexible. However, It’s very important that the muscles supporting the shoulder provide the shoulder with enough stability to prevent it from becoming irritated and painful. Common conditions of the shoulder, such as tendonitis, frozen shoulder and muscle strain can be successfully treated by Physiotherapy and Osteopathy using a combination of ‘hands on’ treatment and specific exercises to ensure the correct balance of flexibility and strength.
Sports Injuries
More and more people are participating in both recreational and competitive sporting activities in order to maintain their health and well being. From time to time sportsmen and women develop problems due to either a traumatic injury on the field of play or through repetitive strain whilst performing sport. People do not need to accept pain when participating in sport, as Physiotherapy and Osteopathy can help to identify the underlying causes of pain, including any faulty biomechanics, and deliver effective treatment to help people return to sport quickly and safely without their problem reoccurring.
